Hei,
My name is Jake Keighley, I started this blog in 2025 to escape nine pans, egos, and deadlines. After years spent cooking in high-pressure kitchens, After Service is where the noise drops out and something quieter begins.
I’m a chef and photographer based in Clapham, London. This is a collection of what I notice after the rush: cold pass lights, empty stools, the way wine glasses fog in silence. Some of it is about restaurants, some of it is about the city, and some of it is about what remains when the last plate leaves the pass.
There are no reviews here. No scoring. No urgency. Just notes, images, and reflections from someone who still cooks for a living, but who’s learning to see things a little differently; after service.
